what is it you're wondering about?

Hi, HBDchick! Fan here. My question is: is the bottom line of this study just that genetically related people tend to support (or reject) liberal democracy at similar rates, mutatis mutandis? So that political preferences writ large potentially have some large genetic basis?

i think it's more complicated than that. it may be that close relative matings, among other things, set up selection pressures for behavioral traits related to familial/parochial altruism (thanks to kin selection). here's a good place to start: https://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/cousin-marriage-conundrum/ … ...

...other selection pressures may be things like family types (nuclear vs. extended, for instance) and more generally a society's socio-economic system (is it based on kin-groups or unrelated individuals?). iow, it's complicated.

Usually is, thanks!
