1/5 After the discovery of type 2 vaccine-derived #poliovirus in sewage in north and east London, the JCVI has advised that a targeted inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) booster dose should be offered to all children between 1 and 9 in all London boroughs.

This is so lovely. I would talk to my patients in intensive care too. “You might be standing side by side with them at the prow of some ship, sailing through their dreams”. Beautiful.

A while ago I started a new run of on-call shifts and went to briefly chat to an intensive care patient I hadn’t seen since he’d been critically ill and since he’d come off the ventilator. At the end of the conversation he said he’d been waiting to meet me. (1/7)
