[TD1-R3] October 24 at 13:00 JST: We have confirmed the spacecraft has begun its descent from the home position (about 20km altitude) as planned. The rate of descent is similar to previous descent operations at 40cm/s.

[TD1-R3] October 25 at 11:00 JST: The transition to autonomous descent phase is “GO”. The X & Y directions of the spacecraft’s position will continue to be controlled from the ground (Earth) but at an altitude of 25m, a fully autonomous mode will begin. Altitude now is ~300m.

[TD1-R3] October 25, 12:06 JST: Confirmation that the spacecraft has begun to rise. Near the lowest point, the low-gain antenna (LGA) were in use & telemetry wasn’t possible. The spacecraft velocity was monitored with Doppler Data. Low altitude circumstances to be confirmed later

[TD1-R3] October 25 at 12:40 JST: Communication with the high-gain antenna (HGA) has resumed & telemetry on the status of the spacecraft is confirmed. The spacecraft is normal. The target marker is confirmed to be separated. The spacecraft is now at an altitude of more than 1200m

[TD1-R3] Real-time delivery of the navigation images has ended —thank you for following! This image was taken on 10/25 at 14:15 JST received at the end of delivery. Due to the camera settings, it is darker than during descent, so we added an image with adjusted brightness.pic.twitter.com/MB13Isg72Y

[TD1-R3] The target marker was separated at an altitude of about 13m at 11:37 JST (time recorded on spacecraft). The lowest altitude was about 12m, arrived at 11:38 JST. This is the new minimum altitude achieved! The data will now be analysed in detail to prepare for touchdown.

[TD1-R3] The target marker (TM) is confirmed to be reflected in the image from the Optical Navigation Camera - Wide angle (ONC-W1). This image was taken after the TM landed on Ryugu's surface. The point in the green circle is the TM. Image time: 10/25 11:47 JST, at altitude ~20m.pic.twitter.com/Cf4IRKTFfF

[TD1-R3] The target marker in the previous image is not reflecting a flash from the spacecraft, but shining in the light form the Sun. This enables the surface of Ryugu to also be imaged, whereas using the flash causes the surface to be nearly invisible.

[TD1-R3] Within the target marker is the engraved sheet with the names of applicants for the "Le Petit Prince Million Campaign 2" (and those collected by the Planetary Society) from April to August 2013. We have delivered the names of about 180,000 people safely to Ryugu!
