20 years ago today (2003/5/9), "Hayabusa" was launched from the Uchinoura Space Center on the M-V-5 rocket. At the time, we had no idea of the turbulent operation that would follow, and the Hayabusa2 mission that would come next! We were just excited to face this new challenge.

It’s been just over two years since @haya2e_jaxa returned to Earth and delivered home a sample from #asteroid #Ryugu. Results from the initial analysis have begun to come in, so what have we found out so far about this intriguing asteroid, and hints about our own planet? 📺
