2019 was solidly in second place in the Berkeley Earth record. The last five years really stand out as substantially warmer than anything that came before in the record: 3/4pic.twitter.com/Pxxg7zqAkw

We project that 2020 will likely be similar to 2019; it will almost certainly be one of the five warmest years, and has a 20% or so chance of beating 2016 as the warmest year on record. 4/4pic.twitter.com/26dQx0vtzF

The Washington Post has an excellent article summing up the 2019 temperature reports:https://www.washingtonpost.com/climate-environment/2020/01/15/2010s-hottest-decade-world/ …

Our gridded data can be found here: http://berkeleyearth.org/data/  @RARohde pre-calculated country averages and might be able to save you the work of calculating it yourself, but unfortunately I don't have it handy.

My guess: lots of UHI in the data like Eastern Europe. My region was developed 30 years ago already and basically no change. But many other stations are located in growing inner cities with a lots of difference even on the same altitude.pic.twitter.com/FEWsCEPWGq

Yet climate deniers abound. Of course, there will be corresponding cold spots elsewhere, and this is the caveat of dumbsters such as Trump.
