Love this messaging on offsets from ⁦⁩ “These pollution permission slips are so popular because they provide political cover for coal and gas companies to pretend they are doing something other than threatening our children’s future.”

Am really emotional about ’s resignation. Our daughters had the same due date, ended up being born two days apart. So impressive Ardern has been running a country for their whole lives. Of course it is possible but it would also be bloody hard. Huge respect.

Hess and ExxonMobil, which project they will be producing 1 million barrels of oil a day in Guyana by 2027, are now talking about buying carbon credits to mitigate the climate impact 🥴 (Hess inked a deal yesterday for $750 million — they’re the new Norway!)
