Impunity for egregious violations in
#Yemen remains widespread & 6 years of conflict leaves nearly a quarter million people dead & 10,000+ children killed or maimed. Read joint statement to UNHRC calling for immediate measures to prevent & end violations. https://cfa.ms/3haaQ1W -
Twitter suspends accounts linked to the Houthi movement Al Masirah news channel. 'Al Masirah's page suspension on Twitter comes after the United Nations on Thursday called for an end to immediate clashes near Yemen's main port of Hodeidah.'

#Yemen My heart breaks
for the suffering inflicted by the use of our tax dollars & for the lack of humanity. I will never understand how we allow this to happen. I will never understand our lack of empathy, our lack of courage.
I pray our children are better then we are

Short visit to
#Yemen ten years ago in 2010. I’m not one for generalizations but it was such a beautiful place in so many aspects: people, buildings, food. Here are some photos with a slant toward the architectural in Sanaa as well as Dar al-Hajar.

While laughably claiming to be a global human rights champion, the UK is 2nd only to the US in arms exports, including to Saudi Arabia which continues to relentlessly bomb

On this day in 2016, US-backed Saudi regime forces, committed a major war crime in
#YEMEN by deliberately bombing a packed funeral hall, killing 155 and wounding over 700 civilians. laser guided bombs used in the atrocity were both provided by the US & UK pic.twitter.com/MR7xjqZiRZSaudi Arabia's Air Strikes Are Killing Civilians With U.S. WeaponsDespite Saudi Arabia's claims, open source evidence shows many airstrikes are killing civilians — and U.S. weapons are being used to do it. -
Here's why: When Saudi/UAE/US/UK couldn't colonize
#Yemen by traditional means, they systematically targeted food & water sources, and blocked the entry of fuel & food via land, air, and sea. 20 million Yemenis are not starving; they're being starved. https://twitter.com/ICRC/status/1313523916367900672 … -
