    Okay, I'm not allowed to go to bed tonight before A) I finish this short story, and B) before I submit one of my other short stories somewhere. And I'm tweeting this to try to hold myself accountable.

    It feel so good when after three days of concentrated work and frustration you finally figure out what you are actually arguing, and... you love it! 🤓 (but rewarding)

    What they don’t tell you about : it’s actually really hard. You need to reread what you wrote a hundred of times, watch your spelling, watch so you don’t look like an amateur (because you really are), you need to know a lot of stuff & do your research etc.

    I’ve finally nailed the revised structure for my WIP. Tomorrow I begin breaking down scenes & chapters, checking character goals, motivations & stakes, and then I’ll know how many words to cut from my first draft and how many I need to re-write.

    Book 1 is 112k words. I'm 62k words into book 2 and I'm not even halfway finished. I don't know how I'm gonna keep this under 120k.
