    I choose free speech over you. I’m 1/16th Native American (allegedly) If you don’t acknowledge you have misappropriated/used “my” people as a tool for furthering your education and career, you are an unequivocal racist. No apology could ever suffice.

    that affects more than the body? Post-sepsis, patients may not recall all of their experience. Most of my memories are of kindness and smiling/laughing with & ER/ward staff

    No changing language is not a magic bullet but it is a start. Researchers and other public health professionals continue using stigmatizing language despite knowing the harm it causes both to those living with HIV and to others' perception of HIV.
