    Seen any Willow Tits lately ? The Dearne Valley is an important stronghold for in the Country. We are now building our Survey Map. Please post your sightings of Dearne Willow Tits on Twitter with a grid ref so we can include your birds

  3. Great year for in the with up to six pairs around Wheldrake Ings and 16 juveniles ringed to help our understanding of their movements and survival. 33 pairs were found throughout the valley, representing a stronghold in Yorkshire!

  4. I’m pretty sure these are visiting my birdfeeder I know it’s difficult to tell them apart from Marsh tits but having heard them they sound more like willow tits

  6. I’ve been at Sunnyhill for three years now & I still can’t tell if I’ve got Marsh or . They are so hard to tell apart But I do know I have & without doubt. Time for a stakeout of the bird feeders once and for all

    Had single in non-breeding locations throughout Winter, with unpaired males now singing & moving through these This AM a pair with Male singing right on the edge of our housing estate in a spot where i havnt noted them in 20 years signs of further WILTI increase

    This is heartbreaking, no doubt a result of the excessive tidying of damp, neglected wild spaces quietly decaying. Both mine and the preferred habitat . . .

    , why are they using this grassland, they have been using this area all Autumn, moving between isolated willows. At no time have they bee seen feeding on thistle seed or similar.....
