    I will tell you this right now. You need to read this script and if you're a producer who wants to create a film that feels both familiar and completely unexpected, you should make this.

    The best thing about is having people you do not know & haven't met prior, reading your crazy swing-for-the-fences script and LIKING it. (Well, the best thing would be it getting produced, but it is still pretty awesome. Thank you Joe!)

    I read . I'm incredibly impressed in the confusing way that only great art makes me feel: on one hand I'm energized in my own undertakings, while on the other thinking "If this is what I'm up against, what am I even doing here." Great work!

    It’s rare to read a script that makes you think of everything from the novels of Jonathan Carroll to the deadpan surrealism of Punchdrunk Love (with a dash of Chuck Jones). That’s Dogsbody by and I can safely say there is nothing like it out there.

    Not to gush too much about Rantz, but his script is featured in the inaugural and it's a hell of a story. It's big in scope and intimate in feeling. Like ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND, it tackles grief and loss in surreal and surprising way.

    The end result of all these elements is the kind of feature that it takes you to a place you can only visit in film. It's a surreal, funny & sentimental story that readers have compared to Charlie Kaufman & Groundhog Day. I hope you enjoy it.

    started with the random inspiration of seeing a billboard for dog food. I wondered what happened when the dog on the ad died. Did the owner get residual checks? Would they be heartbroken & wracked with guilt every time they got one? And off we went...
