We are ALL called. While Sarah shared that God calls everyone, man & woman. I'm here to say that ALL people are called by God, men, women, trans folk, gender nonconforming folk, EVERYONE.

Good morning
#URBANA18. As you begin this week, I hope you will know some of the things I never knew during my@UrbanaMissions journey...Show this thread -
Until such a day as all people: queer, people who have had abortions, people who are single parents, etc. are welcomed
#urbana18 is nothing but the worship of evil and ego. There is nothing holy about it. IVCF is damned. May it be trampled into the ground.Show this thread -
White evangelicals have rushed to take a tainted gospel to black and brown children overseas but have been quick to demonize Black and Brown bodies in front of them. We goin in.

Sarah and I are overwhelmed by God's grace at
@UrbanaMissions Such a privilege to see Jesus moving in this generation! We have been held in prayer by friends around the world. We could not be more grateful!#urbana18#thankyouJesuspic.twitter.com/h7g0r0vNbM

Where
#dressember falls short: promoting products often produced through slave labor, in the name of ending slavery. Let’s consider pursuing justice through ways that don’t promote consumerism, classism, and socially constructed gender norms@UrbanaMissions#urbana18 -

Not gonna lie, this evening's general session made me shed a tear or two. One of the most moving general sessions of an InterVarsity conference I've ever heard.

Dominant culture Christians often try to build the new heaven and new earth on the backs of the oppressed and marginalized. They pursue peace and power for themselves at the expense of others and create experiences of hell instead.

Crazy to see
#Urbana18 tweets. 3 years ago I attended Urbana as a missionary. Little did I know that this conference would mark the beginning of the end of my career in missions, introduce me Queer Christendom and set me up to embrace the cry for justice that was in my heart. -
Working
#urbana18, and a student approaches the table asking if we take cash or card. I'm working lost and found.#no#letmepointyoutothebookstore -
We always wanna point the finger at everyone else as the “bad Christians” but are unwilling to ask how we participate in & profit from empire. I know this is true in my life as a woman of color too. It is easy to not look at my investment in consumption & exploitation
