    Your of the day, the common eland. They’re common in Ngorongoro but quite shy, so pictures aren’t super easy to get. Check out the epic dewlap... reminds me of a gaur or zebu in build, but it’s an antelope!

    Ever heard a “champing”? I witnessed it for the first time today. It’s a courting sound males make by chattering their teeth together. You can’t see the female in this video, but she’s between the hyenas & the mound of grass. 🐗 Cc
