    I gave this quote four months ago. Today an administrator in Southlake, Texas advised teachers to give an “opposing” view on the Holocaust. I wish we had been wrong about House Bill 3979.

    Texas Republicans have passed their anti-trans bill. Over and over Christians used scripture to justify bullying trans kids. I told them in my faith, God is non-binary.

    The Texas congressional map passed yesterday is so skewed that it would fail 4 out of 4 test elections under the Freedom to Vote Act and be enjoined from use pending full litigation. (For that to happen, of course, Congress would actually need to pass FTVA.)

    I am here to fight against the anti-trans bill HB25. It's an attack on transgender, intersex, and non-binary youth at a fragile point in life. We should fix our energy grid and fight Covid-19, instead of dealing with a made up non-issue that hurts our precious kids.

    Once upon a time I was a trans kid in high school who never thought it would get better for me and others like me. It did. And I’m so grateful I held on long enough to see it. There are better days ahead. Today is not the end. We will keep fighting and we will win.

    TX Senate just finished a strong conservative session. But more needs to be done. Senate added felony penalties for illegal voting, but the House cut to a misdemeanor. House needs to pass an election forensic audit bill. I support calling us back to pass both.

    Ok!…Texans don’t have to register to carry a gun? But we do have to register to vote; in fact, we have to register quite carefully and at risk of criminal penalties if we make any mistakes on the paperwork, etc….(?)
