    You hear this a lot in TX when it comes to public education. I always ask them to tell me a time when we over-funded education, only to realize it was a mistake. Also, when people complain about the cost of a service, 99% of the time they aren't the ones who need it.

    almost every societal issue people claim you 'can't just throw money at' has never actually had sufficient money thrown at it

    Just In: Comptroller Glenn Hegar just told LBB the budget shortfall will not be as dire as projected in July. But the real numbers won't be revealed until Jan. 11.

    Me yesterday. Got to school and by 9 AM, we had sick kids in the “Room”. I had 27 kids crammed in a class discussing their escapades over Thanksgiving. Not feeling too safe! Keep your sick kids at home!
