    Winter Wrens are on the move. Look for these tiny in woods and wetlands around downed logs looking for tasty morels. They almost always have that tail cocked way up. Such a cute bird!

    New beaver marsh sighting today. I believe these are Gadwalls. Very cool because this is a new bird i.d. for me. They are not local breeders. Just passing through on their way to Canada. 😎😀

    I had a Pine Warbler at my suet feeder this morning. Keep those feeders out during migration. You never know who might show up!

    Black-throated-blue warbler --are often seen lower in trees/shrubs, I always find them in cedars, last week a large group of them moved through where I often walk on near home, this is the male

    Today, I spotted several Whitethroated Sparrows, and tried to lure them to the cam. A sudden squad of 15 Blue Jays and the squirrels were too fast though. But I also spotted a lifer, a Ruby-crowned Kinglet! Excuse the bad photo, but it made me so happy!

    Just after talking about too foggy to see anything ......... Down in the flooded corner of the yard closest to the house, and with binoculars, I spy a new pair of ducks this morning. 1st sighting of blue-winged teal. once again does not disappoint. 😍😍😍

    This Golden-Winged Warbler has a yellow bib under its black chin, indicating hybridization with a Blue-Winged Warbler. This is one of several hybrids found in this park so far this year!
