    Early . A little rain possible parts of week 1. Week 2 more likely warm-possibly drier plains and wetter far east. Heat will push crop and with limited rain. Good for drydown not good for soil moisture recharge. .

    Wrote an extension article to explain, using a logistic model, why is under better control recent years in 🇧🇷. The use of early-maturing cv. (40 days shorter) changed the game. Fungicides heavily used as well.

    Far from being regular or enough (it's still too early), but better than a year ago. 1st crop planting is underway in southern , but waiting for more moisture. planting starts in mid-Sep, but normally surpasses 10% around Oct 10.

    Septoria brown spot showing up in our soybean plots here in Kentucky. This is one of the most common soybean diseases and normally stays in the lower canopy.
