    A $100 bill would buy less in 1998 than a $20 bill would buy in the 1960s. This means that anyone who kept his money in a safe over those years would have lost 80 percent of its value, because no safe can keep your money safe from politicians who control the printing presses.

    Time to broaden national insurance tax base to include rental, dividend and pension income. If taxes have to rise, which I suspect they have to given the PM's spending ambitions, that would at least limit the increased burden borne by working people.

    That Is our current fiat money system. Who is next to the source has better privileges. It seems very unfair.

    Hey … why is the Fed lending money to Blackrock at 0.05% to go out and buy houses (i.e., compete against poor people), vs. poor/middle-class Americans who are forced to take home loans out at 4-5%? Is this not the definition of inequality?
