    Town guards added . If your reputation is below zero, they stop you from entering the town. You can bribe, sneak, intimidate, or even pickpocket them.

    I do recall a change, but my recollection is that it had more to do with frequency of appearance as a general rule, and less to do with character status. Slywerts and secitts were both late additions to and are a common cause of death in the forest.
