I'm following this #rainbowpoppy trend and I'm conflicted. LGBTQ always going on about inclusiveness, but they have a nasty habit of further dividing us. What's wrong with just having a red poppy to remember all the sacrifices, instead they want to remember people differently??

Whether or not the #rainbowpoppy is fake news, the fact is that #LGBT people were banned from serving in the UK armed forces until 2000. If they got to serve in WWI or WWII & if ‘found out’ they could be dishonourably discharged & sometimes forced to have psychiatric treatment.
