    I definitely feel this! Knowing that my condition can’t be understood easily has made me more considerate of other people who may be in a similar position. You really never know what someone is going through

    I think (or hope!) it's made more considerate, less impatient with others and less judgemental.

    Lots! I'm much more resilient, determined and empowered as a result of my invisible illnesses, and the experiences (both positive and negative) that have evolved from having them.

    I'm with you when i'm focused and not in pain I could do a full weeks work in a few afternoons, instead we run the risk of pushing our bodies too far to fit into a normal schedule

    Yes, sometimes friends (well-meaning) start off with saying how I'm looking really well and then I feel it has shut down a conversation about how I really am before it's started. Sometimes I will go on to say how I really am & other times I can't be bothered, nod & smile.

    I think what's been brilliant for me is that when I talk about it other people speak up and then this wonderful sense of community and support springs up when you're not expecting it and that is sometimes what gets me through a really hard day

    flexibility is key in the workplace and I think at school too, i feel like there should be other options apart from in full time or off altogether and there isn't always
