    Cummings knows Johnson's notorious laziness is a fatal flaw. He doesn't read briefings or pay attention in meetings. It's why Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is held in an Iranian prison. On no account must Johnson be asked difficult questions: he doesn't know the answers.

    If anyone has had any doubts that Priti Patel is as thick as mince they should note her comments about "counter-terrorism offences" which could surely only be committed by someone engaging in counter-terrorism. Streatham man was a terrorist, not a counter-terrorist.

    Norman Smith on highlights that there is no such thing as an ‘Australia deal’. It’s really just a euphemism for WTO style rules. No 10 rationale for using this expression is that ‘Australia deal’ sounds more palatable. 🧐
