Jim Molan’s performance tonight is indicative of the government’s reaction to bushfires. Weak, clueless, belligerent, blame shifting, incompetence. And ultimately useless.

  3. There’s something very powerful about a politician showing Australia what trauma looks like. Owning it. Making trauma visible, understandable, OK & not bottled up. It is such a powerful foil for the awful Canberra spin of some of his colleagues. Hats off,

  4. “I’m not relying on evidence” An actual Australian senator talking about climate change - in 2020. I just can’t laugh along with the audience. It’s desperately sad, not funny

  6. Scott Morrison has not appeared on since 2012 when he criticised Christine Nixon for going out to dinner during the Black Saturday bushfires. After tonight, he may want to think twice about subbing that role out to others.

  18. Tonight's has proven Australians have run out of patience for climate science deniers. They have done enough damage, they refuse to accept evidence & rethink their views. No more. They have no right to any role in public office. Full stop. 🐝

Isn’t it interesting that the people who deny that climate change is why the Australian fires are so severe, are “columnists” and “commentators” and not “firefighters” or “scientists”?

  20. Michael Mann, the "hockey stick" guy the Deniers love to hate says: "some of the best climate scientists in the world are in Australia." They're personable, speak English, and are happy to educate any journalist, opinion maker, or politician, using very simple words....
