    I’m really enjoying the fact that the “Recommendations” tag in my task manager that used to tag tasks related to letters of recommendation for me now also tags tasks of writing letters for my students.

    There are a lot of little joys in the world. One of my favs is reading an essay from a student discovering a new passion: when you see on the page how a particular thinker or idea has ignited their engagement not only with the course, but with the world.
