A4.
#PrimaryCareChat I am pretty sure I misdiagnose eczema some, especially in the winter when skin gets really dry and itchy anyhow. I think of eczema more as patchy, sometimes with tiny blisters but not always. BTW a fav med term: eczema caquele!Prikaži ovu nit -

A4:
#primarycarechat Dr.@meggerber taught me the importance of remembering what keeps patients stay strong (faith, family, music, art, pets, etc) instead of focusing on what keeps them sick! -
A3:
#primarycarechat From#AGS19 re: safely DEprescribing: "Of all of your medications, which are you most eager to stop taking?" "which is the most important to you?" Allows for better understanding of where the pt is coming from even if we can't d/c those meds just yet -
Primary care folks in
#medtwitter verse. How many of you are thriving in a full time job? Is it possible to do this full time for the long term?#primarycare#primarycarechat#npchatPrikaži ovu nit -
A4: as a physician who is a woman of color, I consider it often when I meet AfAm patients who don’t trust the medical system because they have never felt seen or their pain/ contributing issues believed.
#primarycarechat -
I think patients, particularly those who have historical trauma really value consistency... in following up with them, checking in with them, I find it helps... anyone else?
#primarycarechat -
A4: Having learned so much from the brilliant minds in this
#SoMe space, I now approach potent care w/ these issues at the fore & am far more comfortable discussing them. Also,@meggerber’s book is outstanding!#primarycarechat -
A3: Changing mindset from “why are you frustrating me by being no compliant?” to “what happened to you?” Patients remain responsible for their behavior as adults, but we understand the origins of the dysfunction.

Fantastic visual on trauma informed care!
