    As an superintendent purchasing new books for their district, I would like to formally request from you a list of textbooks that are not in compliance. If this is a major issue of concern then I assume there is a list handy.

    I sent the following letter to textbook publishers that operate in the state. All educational materials should be in accordance with HB 1775. Critical Race Theory is not welcome in Oklahoma.

    Expecting to vote on a $10B budget this week. Haven’t seen it yet.

    The 2022 Legislative session has been in session for 97 days, and there are 12 days left before the session closes. A state budget for Fiscal Year 2023 has yet to be publicly introduced. 1/

    $12.4M may not sound like a lot when compared to a $6B budget. To put the Swadley's deal in perspective it would cost $4M to FULLY fund concurrent enrollment for Jr's & Sr's. And we haven't done it. I hope can find a place to fund & expand this necessary program.

    There are still no agendas posted as of late Sunday, but these meetings could signal that the has a budget agreement. If so, buckle up for lots of consequential legislation over the next few days because session could end early.

    Hey, weekenders! Both the House and the Senate have scheduled JCAB meetings for Monday & Tuesday. And it's probably worth noting that the Senate's JCAB meeting Tuesday is for After Adjournment 2, meaning there will be morning and floor sessions.
