  5. Adding a requirement to production or reuse is just another barrier to openness. (Side note: This is why I think it's silly to have login requirements for OER repositories.) Even if not onerous, any technical barrier or requirement seems to be anti-open.

  7. In fact, the whole idea of encourages us to rethink quality metrics, moving from relying upon proxies (such as publishers and editors) to actually evaluating the content itself. Blockchain only provides a weak proxy for quality ("this was ok'd by Dr. So-and-so years ago").

  8. Correct me please, but applying blockchain to seems to be trying to solve false (or at least non-major) creation and adoption problems. OER are adopted/evaluated on content, not transaction history. Authors care about usability and ease, not backward verification.
