    Speaking of John Gooding, lobbyist and Oakpac Chair. Oakpac raised 80k in 2019, and gave half of that to Jose Dorado's Anti-Desley Brooks PAC to help them pay off their debts from running one of the biggest district PACs in Oakland's history.

    There's always a question about whether Larry Reid is going to retire when he says he's going to retire. But Treva Reid, his daughter, has raised over 40k for her campaign to run for his seat, so it looks like a done deal.

    It's good to know 100% of homicides and child abuse cases are assigned to an investigator. But Oakland's police are so understaffed compared to the numbers of reported crimes that only 55% of robberies and 9% of burglaries are ever assigned to an investigator.

    James Van of Oakland Tenants Union says he urged Centro Legal to hire a contractor for the anti-displacement program that had a Black base. He says Centro Legal doesn't appear to Black communities as a Black-responsive community and it showed in the outcome

    HCD is explaining that the anti-displacement program run by Centro Legal failed in its first year to substantively interact with Black tenants. ACCE was brought in as a "course-correction" in mid-2019, but resulted in only a 10% increase in effect
