    Such a simple kindness but it was an honest to god lifesaver, it fit all my bits in AND meant I could take off my warm layers instead of sweating for my 1h commute AND freed up my hands so I could eat my sandwich before the low blood sugar kicked in and yeah.

    as a woman who dates men, break ups suck because you know it’ll take him 2 weeks to find a decent girl but you have to go through hell for the next 2 years just to find a guy who isn’t straight out of a Law and Order SVU episode

    When famous people say "before anybody knew my name", we accept the generalised statement. We don't tell them to correct it to before most people knew your name. Looking at you "some men"

    We live in the real world where guys, in any field, have problems reporting to a woman boss. There are exceptions of course.

    In my almost 2-decade-long intimate relationship with the armed forces, I’ve not met ONE woman officer who had a problem with troops. Peers, however, were another matter. But maybe the government knows more! As always.
