    Which is why taking the stand a few years ago was SOOOOO important. SO GLAD that bullshit didn't get on the air. Instead we got creators that gave Black artists period pieces with deep complex roles and historical truths sprinkled into the fiction.

    Watching showrunners talk about Missandae’s murder & she was only there to further Danys story, periodt. Missandae is a non human to them. They didn’t comment on the weight & optics of her dying in chains. It’s as if she never even mattered.

    Hooray for CONFEDERATE not going any further, and for being a success. Granted, so many people still watched every episode of GAME OF THRONES & gave the show & HBO their attention & money despite all of their talk of boycotting, but hooray for !

    It's pretty obvious, but people familiar with the situation confirm that CONFEDERATE, the alt-history project Benioff and Weiss had in development at HBO, is now completely, finally dead at the network. It won't live on without them.
