Updated: state says they took down the LGBT history exhibit at the capitol because they did not follow a procedure to get approval from a state board. (Minutes show the board has never in past 5 yrs of meetings discussed a state museum exhibit.)

  2. ., one of the most trusted and beloved state agencies, felt it was easier for them to bend to bigotry than it was for them to have a backbone for a marginalized group of people. It's really that simple.

Here is the display that was too controversial for the Missouri Capitol. removed it after only four days because seeing the LGBT community not being persecuted and seeking equal treatment under the law is offensive to some.

Hi, . My daughter and I love visiting parks & exhibits across the state and would like to see "Making History: Kansas City and the Rise of Gay Rights" but it was taken down after just 4 days. Please reinstall the exhibit and don't bow to extremists in .

  7. This person is why I decided to run. The gleeful and smug response to the eradication of women's rights is disgusting. Help me fight against tyranny by beating him for State Senate!

“We know what happened,” Sen. Razer said. “They were trying to keep extremists and homophobes quiet, so they just got rid of the exhibit and hoped no one would notice. Unfortunately for them, we found out about it. And this was the best excuse they could come up with.”

Those who serve with me know I’m much more than just the “gay Senator.” But I’ll fight like hell when people attack the LGBT community & use state government to erase us. I can’t believe acquiesced to such small-minded bigotry. I expected more of a backbone.

If I complain about a few of the representatives will they get relocated to a separate building?

There is NOTHING controversial about an exhibit that explains how members of the LGBT community fought to end persecution and demand rights as citizens. I’m extremely disappointed and angry that may think otherwise.

  15. The removal of the LGBTQ history exhibit from the Missouri State Capitol is a vivid display of historical revisionism. It is a stark reminder of the work still left to be done to protect LGBTQ individuals, our voices and our contributions to Missouri.

  16. Reminder to everyone in Missouri that if: ▪️the MO Attorney General writes an opinion; or ▪️the MO Governor makes a proclamation; or ▪️the adopts a concurrent resolution And affirms that Roe was overruled “in whole or in part” then abortion from conception is illegal.

The company awarded the emergency contract in Missouri made headlines previously in New York & Texas for projects it was involved in that ran up tens of millions in costs but ultimately benefited few COVID patients — or in one instance none at all.

  19. The Lohman Building isn't the Capitol Museum. The Parson administration is still caving to pressure from bigots to keep LGBT history in the closet, censoring the story of marginalized Missourians in the process.
