If we know anything at all, it's that you almost never want to supplement with iron (according to The Mind Span Diet by Preston Estep). Unless you are a vacuoule impaired yeast, I would say your research in this area is not going to help average person . Sorry.

…Knowing your blood cholesterol level is an early step toward a cleaner internal environment...and a smoother metabolism. A total cholesterol under 200% mg is not bad...but under 150% means a far better metabolic environment.

In vacuole-impaired yeast, cysteine buildup disrupts iron homeostatis, is toxic to the mitochondria, and facilitates age-related mitochondrial decline. Iron supplementation reverses the damage!

is reporting a potential new risk factor. The gene FAM222A encodes a protein dubbed aggregatin, which accumulates in amyloid plaques. Mice injected with aggregatin had accelerated plaque formation in their brains.

Sunlight may be required for normal energy metabolism—fat cells respond to sunlight and don’t burn as well without it, increasing the risk for metabolic syndrome. Just what we (don’t) want to hear in these dark, hungry days of winter…
