  2. City Bar: Opening during the early 1990s, the City Bar was Lancaster’s first exclusively LGBT bar. It was open Thursday-Saturday evenings plus Sunday lunchtimes. Special and evening events were held down- stairs in the Castlegate Restaurant.

  3. In February 1976 local activists picketed the Lancaster branch of British Home Stores as part of a high profile national campaign in protest at the sacking of a gay BHS employee.

  6. February is and to show support for our LGBT colleagues and communities, we're flying the rainbow flag from our fire stations, at our joint headquarters with and at our Sadler Road site in Winsford. Happy to all!

  7. February is LGBT+ History Month 🏳️‍🌈 and is hosting a series of events to celebrate! Join us Thu. 06/02 for 'School LGBTQ+ Diversity Since Section 28/Clause 2a.' This event is free but booking is essential.
