Peanuts proving the most popular food on offer in our garden today, with Blue, Great and Coal Tits all availing, as well as a pair of Greenfinches. Mixed seed feeders also doing well, with the resulting spillage being hoovered by a Collared Dove!

90,000 or so records (garden*week*species*count) gone into the
#IrishGardenBirdSurvey database, and that's just from paper forms! Still have to enter 2018/19 online data too. Look out for the summary of the 2018/19 season in this winters issue of@BirdWatchIE 's Wings magazine!pic.twitter.com/uzHyWP77Ba

Reading bout barbaric slaughter of songbirds in France using glue traps while here in Ireland
@BirdwatchIE commences#IrishGardenBirdSurvey Outrageous that this is allowed to continue especially as almost a 1/5th of European birds are at risk of extinction https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/nov/30/slaughter-of-the-songbirds-the-fight-against-frances-barbaric-glue-traps-aoe?CMP=share_btn_tw … -

Yup that's the plan!
#IrishGardenBirdSurvey. Luckily my desk is beside a window that looks out on an ivy-covered wall, great for bird-watching without being spotted (or having to move really) -
