New income tax rates are nothing but hogwash. BJP is fooling people it only helps people earning more than 17.5 lacs pa as taxable income. If you’re earning less than that it is beneficial to continue with existing with exemptions tax rates. Disappointed

It is optional, Okay.. But, we will have to forgo almost all the exemptions and deductions if we choose the new income tax regime.. Then what's the use of reducing the rates..?

Changes in income tax slabs with options is a hogwash. You aren't going to save anything when you forego 80C?

#BudgetSession2020#IncomeTax#Budget2020 This table shows old vs new tax you would need to pay under new slabs. This is for a salaried person who invested 1.5L in 80C section. Disappointed!pic.twitter.com/TjpiUMG9g4

Why didn't anyone understand that these lower rates on higher incomes are applicable if you forego exemptions of 1.5 lakhs under 80C?
