    7:00PM - Spotty showers moving through northeastern Washington and northern ID Panhandle. Scattered showers expected through the evening in northern WA.

    Although measurable rainfall didn't impact most of the Inland NW so far today, there were beneficial rains near the Canadian border, & some hit or miss showers over the Palouse. Meanwhile west of the Cascades & Stevens Pass, there were some impressive amounts.

    The strongest winds are likely done for the day. Here's the wrap up. The strongest speed detected was over north Idaho at Magee Peak RAWS (elevation 4720').

    Not only is it really dry outside today, we are talking a record dry Meteorological Spring for several cities. Many others finishing in the top 5 for the driest March-May period on record.

    Heading out this morning? May want to grab a 🧥. Temps across the Inland NW are in the lower 40s with a few spots reporting mid to upper 30s. Check out Omak AP at 36F. Omak was 100F just 4 days ago.

    Noon wind gusts across the region. Gusts to 40 mph. Gusts up to 45 mph is expected through the afternoon.

    It is DRY out there. Relative humidity as low as 8% at 3 PM. Winds are gusting to near 30 MPH in the Columbia Basin. Please use extra caution with a Red Flag Warning still in place through 10 PM this evening with potential rapid fire spread with any new starts.

    Isolated dry t-storms are forecast to develop throughout W. UT, E. NV & S. ID later this PM & evening. A very dry surface layer will produce plenty of virga, gusty winds & lightning. It is possible some of these storms could reach the Wasatch Front late tonight.
