    If Maria & Irma hit the mainland, slow moving hurricane aid would not be an issue. This is the Trump administration getting things done. Trump obviously enjoys withholding funds. via

  8. 3 years ago lives where changed drastically. Never thought I would see or experience something like this. 6 months no power and living with the sound of generators. The ptsd for some is still real and long lasting.

    It has been 2 years since and devastated Puerto Rico and the much needed HUD recovery aid is still delayed. This delay is unacceptable. The lives of Puerto Ricans cannot be treated with such disregard.

    Three years ago we woke up to this scene. 90 days without power followed. But it only made us love our island and its people even more. We hope to have our book about the experience, "Galvanized", published soon.

    We all know where we were 3 years ago today. Irma brought devastating winds and storm surge to the Florida Keys, especially from Cudjoe Key to Big Pine Key. Some of the scars are still visible, but we've persevered and come out stronger!
