  5. On my way to and had a little explore. Nice example of ‘fetch’. We are facing into the wind. Waves grow bigger the longer the stretch of water the wind blows over.

    You can tell by the height of a bridge how 'flashy' the river is that flows beneath it. Bridges on are high above the usual water flow due to the impermeable granite bedrock and fast response of the . I'd not thought about this before!
