    Radar Update (3:40pm): Areas that received the most rainfall today (Brazoria/Fort Bend Co. border, eastern Fort Bend Co., and Houston Metro Area) are beginning to get a break in the rain. Heaviest showers/storms are now north and west of the area.

    Showers and thunderstorms expected again today, peaking around lunchtime and into the early evening. 2-5 inches expected, mainly east of I-45, but isolated higher amounts are possible.

    Good morning! With a high pressure beginning to build in today, rain chances and rainfall amounts will be less than yesterday. A few showers are pushing onto the coast this AM and then expect some afternoon showers & storms further inland.

    Another day of showers and storms is expected across SE TX on Tuesday. Periods of locally heavy rainfall are possible around Galveston Bay and across the Houston metro area. This may lead to minor street flooding. Stay weather aware if you have travel plans!

    Radar Update (1:30pm): Heavy rain continues to move through southern and central Harris County. Rainfall rates are 2-3" per hour in the heaviest downpours.

    Heavy rainfall moving back inland from the coast. Main threat remains street flooding with the high short term rainfall rates of 1-2 inches.
