    This is a very common scenario for older women, & will push more to the brink of poverty and . We saw the impacts of superannuation drawdown during COVID, with many women accessing their whole balances just to get by.

    We are all 1 or 2 events away from being homeless. Don’t believe me? Watch “United States of Tents”. Most didn’t “do something wrong”. We as humans must do better to care for one another.

    I wish I had even a small room to call my own where I could have a studio. I take pictures of things I wish I could paint or draw. My ability to produce work is incredibly limited. There’s no point to my life

    We should probably stop saying is a complex problem. It is too often used as reason to justify lack of/no action. Lets focus on the solutions in stead. They are simple : housing ➕ support - in different forms.

    This is why it's so important to value societal outcomes when conducting of mental health interventions. Many benefits lie outside the health care system: & spillover. When we don't include these benefits we undervalue interventions.

    A political party that took an interest in Australia’s housing crisis from birth to grave could do well! It’s an issue whether you’re renting, buying, sharing or homeless and with children/pets or alone - and most definitely as we age.

  20. People experiencing need better access to health care. Way too many struggle with health issues and even die young from preventable conditions.
