    Here's some pictures from today. I just went for a short walk. It sure was hot out. At least the rain let up a little bit though. I really like how the sun shines through the leaves. It makes everything look even greener out.

    I haven't bought a pair of new boots in a long time, at least 5 years. I saw these in a catalog, and ordered them. I don't get a big selection due to shoe size, but I actually really like these. They're waterproof, and make walking in the creek easier.

    Making char cloth. Take a tin, fill it with scrap pieces of fabric. Place in your campfire for about 10min. Remove, and let cool before opening. Airtight tins need a hole in the lid. Altoid tins don't because of the hinges.

    I'm starting to miss winter a little bit. I really enjoyed staying out at camp all night, and following prints while the snow fell. Then warming my hands up with a quick fire, then just relaxing listening to the wind.
