This is the Canning Street and Alexander Pde intersection - one of the busiest bike crossings in Melbourne. It's quiet right now because it's midday, but we'll come back tomorrow to talk cycling and commuting.

These new accessible Tram stops all along Nicholson Street are sensational (and long overdue) Being able to access safe, reliable public transport is essential for
#healthycities. It's also a basic right that everyone should enjoy, regardless of which suburb you live in. pic.twitter.com/hdhsb3ydnO

To recap, I'm Jason Thompson (
@Agent_Jase) and this week I've taken on the task of talking#healthycities. So we've had to drive into the city today because you can't take dogs on the train... It was so beautiful and peaceful on the 8-lane Hwy... But now we're going to walk. pic.twitter.com/uN8CkqBtv4

Home again. Rural towns can be great places for running. Little traffic and no exhaust fumes. 6ks, some fresh air, a few hundred calories gone, the dog is happy, we didn't get run over and were ready to start the day! Let's hope heartbeats aren't finite.

The drinking culture at the sports clubs I played at was rife. Some of the most dangerous, stupid, and unhealthy experiences of my life were weaved into it. And it was totally normal and accepted. Has that been anyone else's experience, too?

This is me walking away from the courts. No luck getting a game from the 'emergency list'. That's sports clubs, though. You're generally 'out' and it can be hard breaking in. I'm pretty sure that's why they're called clubs in the 1st place. Maybe next week!

To keep them on their toes, I've given the interview with Rolph an 'ACA' investigative style. Rolph reckons the rail line won't come back bc it only had, 'one or two' passengers by the end. Word is it's more likely to be turned into a bike trail. Both good for

@unimelb@msdsocial and I'll be taking over the waves this week to talk#healthycities. Today we're coming from Dja Dja Warrung land and starting our quest from the place all big cities start - as small towns. Let's take a tour pic.twitter.com/pgp06I5IQXPrikaži ovu nit
