    Last week the JAXA team safely guided to a successful touchdown on asteroid Ryugu! The spacecraft is healthy & currently at its home position ~20km from Ryugu. JAXA is still downloading images & conducting analysis on data collected for this touchdown.

    Japan's Hayabusa-2 spacecraft is now descending to the surface of Ryugu, where it will grab a sample of primitive asteroid for delivery back to Earth!

    In the meantime in Canberra, our interplanetary antenna has confirmed that everything went went. The projectile was fired and the spacecraft came back up as planned so everything seems to be in good health. We just need to wait for the sample...
