    There's always a surprise around the corner at . The early evening flyover from 4 Common Cranes, slowly beating their way east in the increasing breeze, was today's turn up for the books. Also three Spotted Redshanks and two Curlew Sandpipers for added extras.

    I found this huge feather of a common crane on today's walk. I also saw and heard one in the distance but it was too far away for a proper picture. I always associate their call with spring. 🌱 🎶

    Just after sunset cranes announce themselves with soothing sounds.
