It’s always a pleasure to hear your thoughts on Glen Moray expressions
#glenmoray I thoroughly enjoyed creating a diverse range. Big thank you to Ed Dodson - the 21yo is his creation. Cheers

Now if the peated gamay cask hadn't buggered my palate for the next week I was going to try a dram of this...

#GlenMoray G P: warming and the peat isn’t too fierce...or is it? but there’s a peppery or spicy warmth. There’s a little dry woody flavour alongside fruit. -
Although everyone has different tastes, for me the drams tonight are as follows : 1. 2014 Gamay 2. Portwood Finish 3. Rhum Agricole 4. 2004 Chardonnay finish Sorry if that upsets some of you :(

#GlenMoray Think im going 21, 2004, Rhum then Gamay. All interesting and tasty but thats what im going with and it was close between them all -
#GlenMoray As is often the way with peated things for me, the palate brings a lot more than the nose suggested. Tasty stuff! -
#GlenMoray GP N: a cooling BBQ / fire. Sweet note. Earthy hint to it... outdoor kind of hint to this... a touch of savlon. -
#GlenMoray on the nose i can’t get past the smell of honey roasted smoked gammon. Definitely some sweetness -
Thanks to everyone for taking part and big thanks to
@TheWhiskyWire for hosting us this evening. Hopefully see all of you at some point to share a dram in person. Remember you are always welcome@GlenMorayDist#GlenMoray -
Peated Gamay N: love the deep pink hue to this. The nose belies it’s youth, just the merest hint of spirity caramac that I usually find in younger whiskies. Smoked kippers, but not as overpowering, lily pollen, cherries.

GM Gamay nose is stunning. Is it because I have been missing my peat.

Going through old archiving... someone had put this in a box in 2002

#GlenMoray takes a sip.. smiles.. This is so well balanced, the peat really enhances the fruits and spices.. I could very easily grow to love this one.. But it’s Peated

-
#GlenMoray peated, nose is powerful earthy peat notes, hints of new make in the background -
These have been great, for me it's a toughie but a tie between the 21 portwood and the Gamay.. and Agricole
#GlenMoray -
GM Rugby nose is faint rubber at front end but gone after a few minutes, soil, oak and vanilla
#GlenMoray -
Gamay P: surprisingly sipable for 60.4%, a bit of delayed alcohol tingle. Now, more smoked meat than fish, cherry lips and more floral notes - the wine influence? Almonds, nougat, wee bit of lemon drops. A winner

#GlenMoray great night tasting great whisky. As much as I loved the gamay cask the portwood just pipped it. A massive thankyou to@TheWhiskyWire@GlenMorayDist@TweetTastings. I’ve got a bottle of the 18 in the cupboard unopened. Think I might have to give it a try this weekend -
#GlenMoray - a really fascinating@TweetTastings tonight. Totally a game of two halves for me... first two drams hit the back of the net, the second two wide of the mark!pic.twitter.com/rw11BWMfFc
