A lot of Sinn Fein supporters feigning indignation that their political party should be subjected to any sort of scrutiny during an election campaign, one even claimed this morning that it was an “attack on democracy.” I despair.

To invoke Auschwitz in a GE is dynamite. Politicians know it In GE context, it requires special gullibility felt or feigned to believe M McGuinness was reflecting on 'democracy'. Is calculated. More cynically she votes with proto Fascists in EU.

"We will make sure the ordinary people's voice is heard in the corridors of power for the 1st time in over a century" Vote the change you want to see, Vótáil Sinn Féin

  6. This is what should decide who you vote for. How has our society been reduced to this? We know, and the two culprits are doing there best to distract voters from it.

seeing as you like to bring up the IRA in discussions about Sinn Fein, are we gonna talk about Fianna Fail’s far right religious views in alliance with the Catholic church right up until the 1990’s? Or that Fine Gael (blue shirts) were quite literally, fascists?

  8. In Dublin Fingal, vote as far down the ballot paper as you can, but leave the far-right candidate blank. There are 16 candidates. 1 2 3 4 5 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 No vote for the far-right. _____________________________ No votes for hate. Thank you

Powerful statement from Pearse Doherty. If you want Pearse at the Cabinet table vote Sinn Féin No. 1 wherever you are. In Meath East vote O’Rourke No.1.

  10. Fine Gael MEPs voted to let those fleeing war and persecution to drown in the Mediterranean. Now one of them is playing political football with the Holocaust. This is odious and sickening. Are they that desperate for power?

Am getting a strong sense that people are sick and tired of being told whom they should vote for. And rightly so! In a democracy the voter gets to decide who is fit to govern. That is all.

We must be close to the crescendo of desperation.

A party founded by a fascist using Auschwitz to try to get votes 🤷‍♂️

For reference, here’s another example of Sinn Féin conducting their own poll.

The message is urgent and clear: Women and workers cannot afford to lose Ruth. If you are in Dublin West give your number one. She needs first preferences to keep the seat

  16. This visit to Auschwitz, - did it come before or after you voted along with some of Europe's most notorious racists to allow migrants to drown in the Med, rather than help them?

  17. One hell of a queue for the 25x at Dodsborough this morning. Same as ever. Vote for better public transport on Saturday.

We want more activism but with results! We need to throw out cosy conservatives that have lined their own nests and those of their cronies,we need to reflect who we are and what we care about, workers, communities, homeless, sick, young, old vulnerable,minorities..

Not sure the poll numbers will be seen in votes but change has come and earlier than I expected. It ain't goin nowhere either. It's here to stay. We never had the politics of Left /Right and it's good we do.

  20. To the man who hurtled abuse at me at the train station as I canvassed this morning, I say congratulations. You broke me. But only for a while. Part of the job. I’m as strong as an ox now again. I will continue to be kind. Like a lot of you. Remember, I’m here to help.
