    Folks should be wary of this conversation if it goes towards waivers that undermine consumer protections and the availability of financial assistance currently available under ACA. The Trump guidance on waivers encourages states to adopt policies that do exactly that

    “I know that we’re not going to go for full-fledged Medicaid expansion. I don’t think the new administration wants to do it. But I think there is an appetite to find a happy spot there.”
