    A surprise in GA: state senate Rs propose making Rep. Lucy McBath (D)'s more vulnerable but don't gerrymander it into nearly as red a seat as expected. Also, this plan would protect Rep. Sanford Bishop (D) & Rep. Carolyn Bourdeaux (D).

    Under this plan, McBath's would shift from Biden +11 to Trump +6 - a big shift! And probably enough to oust her in 2022. But at the rate the northern ATL suburbs are moving left, it could easily fall back into Dem hands in a few years.

    Democratic would gain northern DeKalb County (which was in and lose all of its portions in Gwinnett County. Adds/tweaks some red areas in Newton County, too.

    This map would likely give Georgia a 9-4 Republican delegation by turning Dem-held into an R+16 seat. The Likely Dem seat of would also become more competitive.

    I will say though, axing out makes the most sense from an Electoral standpoint. North GA06 is still pretty swingy, makes more sense to pair that up with other deep red portions.
