    There's something about a police force requesting that citizens report one another for "non-crimes" that leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Apologies for the cliché, but there's something Orwellian afoot here; a dire wiff of the KGB, I dare even say the Gestapo.

    The UK police are actively encouraging the public to report online insults and 'offensive' comments. I'd love to know the resources and money allocated to this embarrassing and idiotic endeavour
