  6. Went back to the swamp and found Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) everywhere. This is old and out of season, but next season I should be flush. Can't wait to get a good haul of these and try them in some recipes.

    I was so excited. 7 pages of notes. My brain was so stuffed full of fun new knowledge that I had to take a nap! Today I’m foraging for dinner. Look out plants! Here I come.

    Sign of spring: wild garlic appearing in the woods. The edible leaves are small but intensely flavoured at this time if year. They can be used in salads, in soups, or make a lovely pesto.
